Experience

Over the past 40 years, Neil has worked with businesses and organizations from startup companies to very large private enterprises across a number of industries, building experience in personal and corporate tax and estate matters. He has advised on business acquisitions and divestitures and guided clients through significant transactions, working closely with KRP’s tax and valuation teams.

Neil works with businesses and families together, connecting family business advice with personal advisory services. He focuses clients on what is coming and asks a key question: “Are you ready?” Readiness covers several areas, including:

  • Wills and real estate planning
  • Estate terminal tax liability and planning
  • Business succession planning
  • Corporate governance (advisory vs. fiduciary)
  • Family governance, values, and constitution
  • Business exit planning

Neil holds the TEP (Trust and Estate Practitioner) and FEA (Family Enterprise Advisor) designations. Over 20 years as a TEP, he has learned what works effectively in family wealth transition.
