Financial and entrepreneurial literacy
KRP is a long-standing supporter of Junior Achievement Northern Alberta and Northwest Territories. JA teaches students work readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy, and we believe in helping young people reach their potential.
Startup TNT is a non-profit that builds a community of investors and entrepreneurs. KRP has been a sponsor since 2020 because we believe in backing new businesses and the founders building Alberta's next great innovations.
Diversity and inclusion
Indigenous engagement is central to KRP's work with First Nation communities. The Hockey Hooky program brings more than 450 First Nations youth to an Edmonton Oil Kings WHL game each year, inspiring Indigenous youth through sport.
KRP has been the tournament's title sponsor for 22 years. Founded by Edmonton Hall of Fame golfers Hazel Jamison and Babe McAvoy, the Classic has been a fixture for local women golfers for more than 50 years.
Health and safety
KRP is the presenting sponsor of A Night Under the Stars, the Sturgeon Community Hospital Foundation's premier annual event. Funds raised enhance quality of life for everyone the hospital serves.
The Glenrose touches many lives, including those of our own staff. Through the Shining the Light program, we help the hospital raise awareness of the many dimensions of rehabilitation and the funds that make that care possible.
People live happier, healthier lives with the right mental health support. KRP proudly supports the Mental Health Foundation Annual Breakfast, which funds programs for mental health and addiction care in our community.
